To All Those Muslims Burning & Protesting That Cartoon

Wow Timi, I thought all you did was spam "TIMI" everywhere! LOL. :P
[/b]

Heh, I don't take life too seriously, but I do take protecting my country seriously. Next year or year after depending on when the woman gets out of the military, I plan on going Federal and shes either going local or Federal, but we are discussing who's doing what.

Anywho just as a fun side note during the onset of the Iraq war I got to go on a man hunt for an Al Queda operative that was known to be passing in the area. We thought we had lead in one of the counties districts because they had found out his cousin was working in a Best Buy of all places. We had shown up for questioning only to find out they had fired him the day before! Needless say he had high tailed it out of there and could never track him down.

Wow so I take it Best Buy didn't have any surveillence or something else of use to help you guys track him down?

Although I probably shouldn't ask questions I bet it's all confidential.

I saw the Wanted posters in the Police station here BTW when I went in for my interview. I know it sounds totally weird but I think I could actually do bounty hunting (like bail bond agent stuff) as a job and be happy with it. I can't stop thinking about it, LOL.

Though I bet it sounds better than it is too, I did read up on it a while ago and there are some definate drawbacks.

Well surveillence only works if you dont know what the guy looks like. I had run into an academy friend of mine at the court house one day and they said that they knew who it was, but no trace of him and we couldn't track him....he just vanished and it was out of our jurisdiction and up to the feds at that point.

Heh, yeah I know the wanted posters you're talkin about....most of those have been captured. Two of them in Pakistan and being held in secret locations by the government, but thats way above what I was doing. Another one in those pics was killed back in 2001 during the Afghan wars and the others I forget if they were killed or captured. I always thought though how cool it would be to pull a car over for some stupid traffic violation and see one of those assholes behind the wheel.....kind of like that rookie that caught Roudolph hiding beind a buch of milk crates in NC.....GO ROOKIE!

In the words of Elvis Costello; "What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?"

Islam is not about violence, in Quran it says 'to kill a man is like killing humanity'. Today what we see is the use of religion for political ends just like it was used in the middle ages in Europe.

When Ottoman's was an empire a smilar incident happened, Ottomans were weak but had a good sultan named Abdulhamid the second. He just threatened to boykott France to cease all trade and the problem was solved. Killing innocent ppl or burning embassies are for non-educated ppl and unfortunately today's islam world have a lot of them. This will not disappear in a day or in a week, education is highly dependant on wealth and today's Islam world is mostly robbed its wealth by West.

U.S. as the major power of today's world needs to realize one thing and make ammends to her former mistakes. Hungry and non-educated ppl are easy to decieve, so stop supporting tyrants and dont rob ppl more.

Otherwise the humanity will pay the price once again, the whole United Nations concept is ridicolous with 5 permanent members in the Security Council. Noone can be right becoz hes powerful, u need to be powerful if you are right.

Freedom of speech doesnt allow one to insult an other one. You cant dictate someone what is an insult and whats not. Our culture is different than yours, and something u find it quite normal there is not normal here. I am not saying you should act or believe like we do but u also dont have the right to tell us how to feel aswell. That cartoons r grave insults to any muslim and for that an apology is required and more importantly such acts should not be repeated. I dont agree nor find it in accordance with Islam's nature to burn embassies or kill innocent ppl but if i had the power I would stop any trade with Denmark till an apology is given. We all live on this earth and we are all neighbours, we need to respect each other's beliefs and religions. History clearly shows us that every nation had power and judging from it, its safe to assume tht current power balance will change in the future. Being arrogant for the power you have in your hands always makes you lose it.

War is not child's play, why do you think 9/11 happened? Why do you think U.S. embassies and U.S. subjects are attacked? Rigt now technolocially there is no way a nation can win against U.S. by means of classical weapons. So there is only one way left for them to strike at U.S. and thats what they are doing. If you support your government's policies to rob Middle East sooner or later you will see an atomic bomb or a massive bio-chemical attack on your lands. One needs not to be an oracle to predict this. Remember this, poor doesnt have much to lose, but its not the same for the rich.

Mmm of course I have. Very very funny. Though my favorite is still the Holy Grail.

To rob the Middle East? Perhaps you should look at the countries we pump money into so they can all be named "Prince" of whatever for the damn oil. If were up to me I'd be finding alternative fuel sources, pull everything out of the middle east. Personally, I'm sick of hearing the rehtoric of we are the great devil and America does horrible things, but we'll take your money!

Why were embassies in Africa hit? Because Ol' Benny got a stick up his ass when he wanted to be the great hero and save Kuait from Iraq in the first Gulf War, but was denied for an international presence mainly US. US stayed behind to make sure Maddam wouldn't be pulling that crap again, so Ol' Benny used that as an excuse for occupation and in 1998 he declared a fatwa on the US and retaliated by hitting the embassies.

The whole retalliations went back and forth with Clinton sitting on his ass just chucking a few missles here and there into both Afghanistan and Iraq and Al Queda's was to take down the world trade center, which at first Ol' Benny didn't agree with, but was pursuaded into it in '93. Well, it back fired and nothing devistating happened, so they went back to the drawing board and hence 9/11. There was also the attack on the USS Cole in 2000 and the attempted bombing on new years of 2000, but was caught at the border.

You can blame the US's policies and whatever till you're blue in the face and yes I don't agree with them all, but when Arabs can stop war mongering, tourturing, killing and oppressing their own people, don't point fingers and blame the US.

Well you are very ignorant. The Saudi royal family is backed by U.S for a long time altho they are tyrants becoz they are in the same bed with U.S. Same applied to Iranian Shah Riza Pehlevi, U.S. backed him up for he was in bed with U.S. too. Kuwait is same.

Lets talk about Iraq now, shall we? Saddam Hussain was a tyrant and hes guilty of many crimes, he massacred Turkmens by using Bio-chemical weapons, he attacked Iran and for the most part where do you think he got his weapons? From Europe. Now lets think talk about invasion of Kuwait, technically Saddam is right about Kuwait being their 11th state but thats not our point. Do you honestly think U.S. was unaware of the invasion? Its not possible, now lets look to 1st Gulf War, what did US do in 1st gulf war? Why did they not end Saddam regime and left him in power? Wasnt it more convinient to solve the problem there and then? But no, they didnt. They used Saddam as a weapon mostly against S.Arabian royal family to keep them in line, these plans are made long ago. Why did U.S invade Iraq? Its all about oil and yes its about robbing ppl. Oil is a strategic resource and U.S. is trying to control it. Thats why they are allowing and supporting ppl as long as it suits them. Saddam made a mistake by over estimating himself and his country but he was a pawn.

There is an institute in Washington which is formed by some ppl who are in control of the US foreign diplomacy atm. Its formed in early 90's, they call this century, America's century. Do a search i forgot the link, u will see what I am talking about. There are very scary things they want to do including invading Iran.

Well maybe u didnt know but U.S. was Germany's best trading partner right before 2nd WW.

Still pompous I see, and ignorant in what way? No shit the US and Saudi's are in bed, why the hell do you think I said the countries that we pump so much cash into for the god damn oil? Theres nothing there that you have said that has disproved anything I said. Yes the US did leave Saddam in power was also because well, Saddam was the biggest enemy of Iran and the US had ties to Iraq because of that. US supplied Iraq with weapons to fight the Iraq/Iran war. But why limit the US as the only country in bed with Iraq, how about France, Russia, China, Germany, Palestine, on and on....everyone dabbled their toes in that water. The US also supplied weapons the Afghans during the Cold War against the Russian invasion in which the US worked with Bin Laden.

While we're on the US "stealing" the oil in Iraq, who exactly benefited from the oil in Iraq? Oh, thats right, Saddam and the UN, Kofi Annan's son, and the countries he was swindling oil under the table with like France, Germany, China, Russia during the oil for food program. The people never saw one ounce of that cash.

Scary thing to invade Iran? Perhaps you didn't notice their president stating that Israel should be destroyed? The fact that the UN has evidence leading the UN to believe Iran is trying to build a nuclear weapons program and the rest of the international community is a little ansty over the whole thing. Even Irans biggest partners Russia and China jumped on the bandwagon. Diplomacy has shown no latitude and Iran has just used that as a stalling technique to continue on. If push comes to shove the US won't be the only one taking action this time around. Iran is not Iraq.

So, next time you wish to wax intellectual, leave petty insults at home.

Wrong post.

But regardless I'm done with this thread, it's not worth arguing over.
[/b]

Heh i am not arguing with u. You are agreeing with me with out admitting it. U.S takes the most heat for a simple fact, they are the leading power. Others cant shape things w/o U.S. .

Invasion of Afganistan by U.S.S.R. was a spearhead towards Belucistan, a long Russian dream to reach to warm seas. And U.S reacted it by aiding mucahidin.

I am muslim and I dont hate U.S., actually on a larger scale I really think, world should be grateful to U.S. With out U.S., Russians wouldnt hesitate to invade any country they think they could capture. But that part of the history is over. There is a new world now and I do hope U.S. will come to senses and treat other countries with fairness. It may come funny to you but I believe U.S. is the only decent country on the world, its not easy to manipulate such great scale things and U.S. does it more fair than anyone else with power. Unfortunately the current administration wants to play old games which reminds me Hitler's living space doctrine.

Don't you understand Reek? You are just being an ass with that. Yes, I agree with Freedom of Speech. But you also gotta have a head to use it. You can't go bashing everyone. In the end you'll get a lot of enemies. You have to apply values as well. Be considerate of others.
