Anime!

I recently watch an anime called Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, a friend told me it means I Desire You Forever. Is a drama and romantic genre. Really interesting. The soundtrack is perfect and inmersing(sp) too.

This hasn't been transaled yet, but it has fansubs (subtitled by fans). Very good subs, or at least that's what my friend said. She is the Japanese expert after all. (No, is not Artica).

If anyone is interested, let me know. I'll make it available or tell you were to get it.

I prefer fan subs over prefessional subs. Fans usually put more time into it, because of the passion towards anime or the film. Professional subs do usually sloppy jobs. I know that, from movies in english when they are translated to spanish. What a mess is there in the translation. There are several ocasions when I just say 'He didn't said that'. Of course, there are companies that make a really good job, but is a very low percentage.

I strongly recommend, if you are watching anime, get it on the original Japanese audio and with fan subs.

To my surprise, when I asked my friend, she said that for Japanese people ALL animation is considered anime. Japan doesn't has a term for Animation, so they just pronounce it the same. However the spelling in romanji is Animeshon. That's why everyone calls Japan's animation as Anime.

The rest of the world considers Anime as Japanese Animation. I don't like other kind of animation, with certain exceptions of course. Most of American or Mexican animation is mostly dumb, created for kids. The good American Animation shows are usually comedy for adults, and not the best technology used in them.

Pokemon and Digimon is Japanese Animation, however, I don't like it. It has a poor storyline and soundtrack, which are the two most important things for me.

G.I. Joe and TMNT, I used to watch those shows when I was a kid. Now, I think they are stupid. I think they are too simple.

You'd probably like it if you watched the fan subs. Hrmm.... Moob I haven't heard of that one mind revealing the plot a bit for me? When I watch an anime I expect its going to be one of these types: Serious with drama and such. Comedic with random happeneings and just dumb stupid. A mixture of the previous two or an anime that makes no sense whatsoever and has no plot at all kinda like FLCL. Though one of my friends says FLCL is a coming of age anime I say its a random crazy one that doesnt make much sense.

The only anime I watched that might remotely be related is Love Hina and that was like one episode... is it kinda like Tenchi Muyo?

Eww an anime soap opera? I know I wouldn't like that one Lemme know if you find something good something similar to Naruto or Evangelion (for some reason I don't Bleach I dunno why )

No way, Bleach is awesome. Much more complex than Yu Yu Hakusho. Yu Yu Hakusho is so predictable and single lined. Bleach has a very thick complot, you don't know who is the bad guy until the last minute.

Anyway, has anyone seen the ZOE dvd set? Jus curious because its been out a while and I never did get to see them, how are they?

Heres just a rundown of what I've seen. I really don't know whats out there and pretty much watch what comes my way whether its on tv or dvd.

Both Finaly Fantasy movies, cgi I know but still japanese

I was never atracted to the Gundam series, althought I did see the first one.

Jin-Roh is wicked, on of the best out there, very sad too .

The Spirits Within of FF is bad, one of the worst movies ever. However, Advent Children is so good. I mis Aerith. :wub:

Ghost in the Shell, I only like hte otriginal movie. I don't really like the stand alone complex, althought the soundtrack is wicked.

Outlaw Star, Haven't seen it complete.

Cowboy Bebop, I love Faye Spike is not bad too.

ZOE, I have only seen Dolores i and Idolos. Which is the first series and the movie. Dolores is such a sweetheart. :hug:

Gungrave, I didn't like it much because it had a really weird ending. It was a good story though. This is an anime based on a game. The game and the anime have a slightly different story.

DB was wicked it focused on martial arts at the begining. Then came the super powers in DBZ, and beyond in DBGT. I like all of it though.

Ya already know what I think about Naruto.
