The fear is only beginning, my friend. Once you're done with Lord of the Rings, then you need to tackle the Silmarillion. Once you're done with that (hah, good luck the first time), then you can slog through Unfinished Tales. If *that* isn't quite enough, you can then delve into the literary research-grade adventure known as the Histories (not a coherent narrative at all, moreso the revision and publishing history of all Tolkien's works concerning Middle-earth. An intertesting thing to dig through, but its not really something you 'read'... at least in my experience)

Reading LotR the first time tends to bog down in the Dead Marshes. Just keep pressing on if things get a little boring. And be sure to READ all the damn songs, don't just skip over that shit. Every little bit of it makes sense to some part of his world, even the hobbit drinking songs.

Used to fancy myself sort of an amateur Tolkien scholar. Thankfully most of Middle-earth has leaked out of my head in the years since all that stuff was fresh in memory (only to be replaced with wookiees and trandoshans, twi'leks and fish.. erm). Ask away if something needs clarification or motivation. :)

I liked Silmarillion quite a bit. The histories I had to put down after a bit. Too cluttered and definately not something to just sit and read.

Doing: Getting impatient to go home and start my HOLIDAY!!

Trying to wake up still really.
Contemplating on what to do or what I can be bothered to do.
Thinking on what I can accomplish in SWG if I log in.
Generally wasting time. -_-
