Free Speech is not unique to the United States you goddamn retard. In fact, I don't know if you know this or not, but these cartoons that have started this whole thing? They were printed in Denmark. Denmark is a foreign country. I'm just agreeing with their right to say whatever the hell they want.

Many religious Americans would kill to defend their religion before killing to save their family as well, so your whole speech about that is just another example of your own ignorance. Ever hear of the United States Marines? They have this little saying, "God, Country & Corps" - the order of that is important, think about it.

Your whole argument is based on your view that Muslims are violent. They are not, for the most part. There have been peaceful protests over these cartoons. Muslims have been boycotting Danish products, which caused Arla to lay off over a hundred employees if I remember correctly. Boycotts are a form of peaceful protest. I've already said that Muslims should be free to express their opinions about these cartoons. That's the great thing about free speech, it can be used both ways, and not just protect one small view.

Though I wonder what you would have, Stavrose? Since you're an American we'll use the US as an example. Would you have an amendment to the Constitution saying that it's illegal to offend religion? If so, again I ask what if there's a Wiccan who thinks that showing a witch riding on a broom is offensive?

I can't believe I have to argue for free speech against an American.

O.k. let me put it to you this way. Poor people tend to rob, riot and burn shit. One of the keys to Muslim religion (not the religion itself but the men controlling the religion) is to keep the people ignorant. Ignorant people tend to do shit like this. And christians in the US don't protest like the muslims just cause of the level of education. One of the reasons why christian membership is declining in the US cause let's face it. Religion is used to control people. You cannot control educated people as easy as ignorant people.

I totally believe in freedom of speech. Why do we have to pussy foot around people all the time? Things like this is the reason why people get HR warnings cause they told someone their hair looked nice. We as humans need to start having thick skin. I mean wtf. OH YOU HURT MY FEELINGS!!! I mean i wonder what would happen with people if something major happened. Maybe that is why Katrina devastated the gulf coast so bad cause people are more worried about "oh you hurt my feelings." instead of taking care of business.

In the US there is no true freedom of speech. For example you cannot yell "fire" in a crowded movie theater, no matter how funny it is.
 
Look at it this way, EVERYONE HAS FREEDOM OF SPEECH! You can say whatever the fuck you want whenever the fuck you want. But there are consecquences and they vary from country to country.

So if your local newspaper printed a cartoon of a bunch of white people lynching a black guy, its ok? According to you, it is, cause its free speech and they have the right to. So if then a portion of the black community starts to go on shooting rampages killing every white person in sight, it is wrong, cause the newpaper had the right to publish it?

I think people care too much. Thats the problem with religion, some people take it so seriously that trouble comes from nothing.

And, I'm not hardcore christian (or religious at all) but i'm pretty sure that any dedicated and hardcore christian would be appaled at cartoons poking fun at Jesus.

Doesn't matter if "it's ok" or not, it is their right to do so. Now, they better have a good editorial reason for doing so. If they do not, then it is within my rights to boycott the paper, to express to them my dissatisfaction, or even boycott their advertisers and cause them financial harm. It is not within my right to firebomb their offices.

Murder is wrong. Rather than resort to murder, the black community should resort to using their free speech and protest against it. And they do. It happens all the time.
