I'm not saying people aren't taking it out of context, the wrong way, being hypersensitive, but as a marketing specialist it's their job to account for things like that happening. This easily could have been done to the same effect with, say, two white, asian, or any other ethnicity models simply dressed in black/white, silhouettes, etc. and avoided any potential bad press.

The funny thing is, even if intentions were "racist," these actions are protected by the constitution (RE: Freedom of Speech). This may not be feesible, but if this shroud covers the real intent of the L.A. Times or the N. Y. Times, than SOE can hide behind it too.
