Personally I dont see anything wrong with it.. the article states what it is suppose to be.. people just enjoy interpreting the way they want it to be.. which in reality means there racist cause its on there mind.. not the company making the ad..
No company in there right mind would cross the racial/skin color barrier.. unless that's there thing.. pissing off the entire world.. then have at it..
Anyway.. People need to grow up and go the fook to school..

I have to agree with Ivor, people are just taking everything the wrong way. Sony wasn't trying to be racist, why would they do that, they are all about money and they wouldn't do shit to hurt that. They are just saying that they are releasing a white PSP instead of the black one.

Sony isnt an idiot like SOE the same people dont work for each other.. Why would Sony basically outcast there only viable counter to the Gameboy..
Wouldnt make any sense in the least.. Sony also has the PS3 coming later this year and spewing something about color would seriously hurt there reputation as a company..

I'm not saying people aren't taking it out of context, the wrong way, being hypersensitive, but as a marketing specialist it's their job to account for things like that happening. This easily could have been done to the same effect with, say, two white, asian, or any other ethnicity models simply dressed in black/white, silhouettes, etc. and avoided any potential bad press.

Naturally, the race card was the first thing to pop into my mind. However...
Most people lack the clairvoyance Ivor does, and they will take the advertisement as derogatory.
I found it distasteful to publish this ad, though, not offended by it, I just find it to be rather vanilla (hehe I made a pun) it seems to lack real purpose.
So bitch all you want about how "ignernt" we are by not liking this ad.
on a side note, I am an avid racist.

The funny thing is, even if intentions were "racist," these actions are protected by the constitution (RE: Freedom of Speech). This may not be feesible, but if this shroud covers the real intent of the L.A. Times or the N. Y. Times, than SOE can hide behind it too. It is amazing what people believe is "truth," now. lol
