Perhaps. But then again it's a full operating system upon which nearly all software created today is based, constantly integrated into one or several networks. People understand, though may dislike, some proprietary technology here, and mostly know what they are getting when they install.Um, What is Microsoft Windows? One big rootkit.

Sony, on the other hand, had a piece of software install onto the computer without the user's knowledge or permission upon inserting a music CD - an item one would not expect software to come from.
And you didn't answer my question. How is Sony installing rootkits onto user's computers without their permission or knowledge an example of this company being entirely dedicated to its consumers?

Need I say more?
rofl "the xbox360 is more than just a computer game"
He's seeing the point from a marketing dood in a company. Not from the customer point of view. He knows all the services his company has to offer and he sees opportunity. However, he doesn't take into consideration that we all know how Sony treats it's customers. Like garbage, to keep it simple.I dont understand the motives of banaman, he certainly looks like an idiot if hes trying to promote Sony over here coz only thing hes getting is more negative feelings against Sony.
Comcast is in Microsoft back pocket:
"Comcast bought 25% of Group W Cable in 1986, doubling their size. Two years later, they bought a 50% share in Storer Communications, Inc. They bought the American Cellular Network Corporation the same year before combining with Metrophone in 1990. Comcast became the third largest cable operator in 1994 following their purchase of Maclean-Hunter's American division. Comcast owned the majority of the electronic retailer QVC from 1995 to 2004 when its share was sold to Liberty Media. Following other acquisitions, Microsoft invested $1 billion in Comcast in 1997."
OOOOOooo ...ok. Silly me, anything negative against anything else is ok, but once it becomes negative against Sony it's a conspiracy. I guess Microsoft also owns EGM and Bill Gates was standing off camera with a gun to the guys head?
Let's hope they don't fuck them up as bad as the PS3 so I actually bother buying one for Metal Gear Solid.
