Not really, don't take it as an absolute. Of course, we are humans, we need of one another. But In regards to Job, house, school, car, hobbies; In regards to self I can provide for myself, and thus my independence.

Thank you for the clarification. Your independence is merely in regards from a financial aspect. On an off subject I find it very disheartening how financial success is the measuring stick for life.

All joking aside, there is a difference when a woman cooks you a meal, appreciating that she (or any other human) does a nice thing for you. Now if you have an attitude that you deserve it and other people are on this planet to serve you then well you are an asshole. I think people that get worked up see the abuses that happen. Of course it happens on both sides. But women striving for "equality" are actually loosing certain advantages of not being "equal". For example, women now serve in the military. Great, can you imagine having your period in a fox hole in combat? Fact of the matter women and men are built differently. Yes Fluffy this is true. Fact in general men are built more for physical feats than women. Women are built more nurturing than men, in general.
My mother always said "a man is the head of the family, but the woman is the neck that turns the head." I have reflected on this and seen many examples of this. Man makes 6 figures but in the end the woman chooses the house, decorates the rooms, and gets what she generally wants (not in all cases but generally). In fact if it weren't for women men wouldn't own houses cause in the end, men are slaves to the vagina.

It's not necessarily a measuring stick, it's just that in most cases, financial success is required to have the things you need to live.
My current job pays very well, not as well as Drew's, but hey. I just transferred to a new position that will be a lot more enjoyable, but the last position was a pain in the ass most of the time. But it was a good job in that it helped me pay the bills and get the things I needed/wanted to live.
However, the job before that, I ran a before/after school program for Middle School students. LOVED IT!!!! One of my favorite jobs. I could have happily done that job forever....but I barely made 20k a year and that was as the most experienced person. Honestly, there really isn't a way to live any kind of a decent life in San Diego making that kind of money. You have to live in a crappy place in a crappy neighborhood and live off ramen and pb+j's just to survive. I was much skinnier then. hehe
So yeah, it sucks that money is required to live your life, but those are the rules we all live by.
