Guild Wars 2 anyone?

Yea, I know this isn't the place to post something about GW2 and hopefully Stav will make a section for it but anyways... just wanted to know what you guys think about all of us from Wanderhome playing on the same server. As most of you know, there are no opposing factions in this game.. just opposing realms (servers). Just thought it might be fun for all of us to be on the same side for once. (And yes... I am perfectly able to fight on the same team as Reek :)).
 
Will definitely be playing this since it is no monthly sub and the PvP does sound fun, so if there is a server people are playing on I am up for it.
 
i will def be playing but prob not on a wanderhome server playing with a different bunch of people...and i don't think reek has interest in it lol
 
I am involved in the beta test as well. I saw that TB was around but on a different server than what I was for the first BWE. Which server were you on and are you planning on staying with that one? All Wanderhomies on the same side sounds like it would be deadly in WvW :).

Even if you end up on a different server you can always guest to visit the one that wanderhomies are on :). Just can't WvW with everyone else- but you can do PvE or SPvP.
 
We were playing on Yak's Bend I think it was. Well, Yak's something. The last alphabetical pvp server.

There are no pvp servers :). I was on Eternal Grove, not sure if they will make us keep the same servers for the next BWE but if not let me know where you guys are thinking about going this next time.

I know that the DAOC crew ended up on Sorrow's Furnace and that looks to be the major pvp server at this point. It will also be the most crowded for WvW as that is what those guys do.

Just something to keep an eye on as I would not want to end up on another dead server :). Although in beta it seemed like there weren't any.
 
Pretty sure we're sticking on Yak's Bend. There were lots of people everywhere. PvP or not :p

Of course I won't have much time to play that weekend as I happen to have a lot of family visiting for my convocation (which is on the 8th). However, if the free gems are still available I'll try and switch my account over to Yak's Bend. I likely won't get in to play much because of the aforementioned reasons but- maybe can snag a bit of time here and there.

Looks like I better pre-order soon. Myself and Eowin would really like to get on the same server as some of you guys. So please keep us updated on where some of you would like to end up.
 
Ultimo, I was really nervous about pre-purchasing yet another MMO due to the fact that there just hasn't really been any ones that just "grabbed" me. GW2 doesn't disappoint. Money well spent.
 
I would suggest prepurchasing from Arenanet directly instead of a third party, unless you want the collector's edition. Gamestop keeps telling people they are out of keys for beta- even with full prepurchase. Now, I happen to be friends with some ppl who used to manage Gamestop stores- and believe me these guys have no idea what they are talking about and likely give out the keys to friends or other ppl they know instead of keeping them for prepurchasers. (It happens all the time). If you do pre-purchase from another retailer make sure you get what you are entitled to from them!

The simplest way to prepurchase is by going to buy.guildwars2.com and purchasing a digital copy. You'll immediately get your code and be able to set up your account.

Eowin, TB is in the process of deciding if this is our final server. The beta WvWvW wasn't the greatest outcome for the server ever. I'll keep you posted.
 
Ok sounds good. Let me know if you guys change your mind- because we will move with you to wherever you decide. Also keep in mind that the ranking/matching system was not working last BWE as it will be. However, I'm good with whatever server we decide to go to.
