What are your favorite musical artists for each category?

although I don't like Children of Bodom I wonder why you put it into "Metalcore" (who came up with that shitty word "Metalcore" anyway?)

CoB is more Swedish Death metal (and the reason why I don't like it)

IDK it is a shitty word though I agree, but I've come to realise that today when they fade from screaming to singing and back and forth thats todays definition of "metalcore".

Yeah I don't agree. Although they were considered Speed Metal I think todays comptemplations of Speed Metal from the 80's is Heavy Metal simply because of how bands have raised the bar on speed and "hardness"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Might I add I think it sucks that theres splits between Metal. Other than Metal, Heavy Metal, and Metalcore I think you should shove yor bands in one of those catagories. I mean how many dying screech death Mc speed metal hard fast core bands are their...

If you got that you'll see my point is that besides Metal, Heavy Metal, and the new Metalcore stuff music in these other catagories like "Hardcore" and "Death Metal" seem to be mere attempts to set themselves apart from the large group they really belong classified in...and at the top your perfect example being "Swedish Death Metal" I mean come on...

Metal :
Nu Metal :
Heavy Metal : Korn, The Fall of Troy, Meshugga, Sepultura, Black my Heart (rock?), Kittie
Metalcore :
Alternative : Deftones, Linkin Park, The Slow Motion World of Snow Pony
Rock : Horse the Band, Korn, Daysend, Kittie, Fear Before the March of Flames, Pixies, Daysend
Rap :
Country :
Dance/Techno :
Where the hell would Robbie Robertson go under?

I really don't know how to classify my bands... I just guessed.
