although I don't like Children of Bodom I wonder why you put it into "Metalcore" (who came up with that shitty word "Metalcore" anyway?)
CoB is more Swedish Death metal (and the reason why I don't like it)
but Metalcore?

IDK it is a shitty word though I agree, but I've come to realise that today when they fade from screaming to singing and back and forth thats todays definition of "metalcore".

I remember when Metallica was considered Speed Metal... currently they belong in the same category as Van Halen and Bon Jovi...

Yeah I don't agree. Although they were considered Speed Metal I think todays comptemplations of Speed Metal from the 80's is Heavy Metal simply because of how bands have raised the bar on speed and "hardness"

If you got that you'll see my point is that besides Metal, Heavy Metal, and the new Metalcore stuff music in these other catagories like "Hardcore" and "Death Metal" seem to be mere attempts to set themselves apart from the large group they really belong classified in...and at the top your perfect example being "Swedish Death Metal" I mean come on...
