So,
I go on the midnight shift for a ridealong at my internship and me and the other guy get sent to a fight in progress.

We get at the scene and 2 brothers are beating on the other brother and are speaking spanish and I'm like "WTF are they saying" and they are all like "la hermano es la casa es muchos cervesas" and I'm like "Silencio! No Hablo Espanol"

So anyways, me and the other cop had to tackle the one brother who was carrying a hammer and break it up.

2 minutes later 3 other cops come in and help us out, and break up the fight.

So, the brother who started it all, goes to jail with one count of aggravated assault (he tried to beat his bro with a hammer) and 2 counts of domestic battery.

SCORE!

sounds fun, that reminded me one of my adventures in the army. Its a bit irrevelant but was quite funny. Our company was situationed at the border in cyprus with ' no man's zone' in between which was rich for hunting birds and rabbits. So we used to penetrate to the zone at nights and hunt some when there isnt much going on. One night company sergeant asked me whether I am coming for the hunt that nite and i said no, I am tired and gona get some sleep. They got lost and ended up getting close to a suburban area and hearing the shots fired ppl called the police, so they got cought and the sergeant got fined to stay at the company and not going to home at nights for a week by the battalion commander. I was laughing my ass off.

I should start telling my stories about my army time. I have some very nice ones hehe.

That's pretty bad when you had to hunt birds and rabbits just to keep from starving...

I'm actually surprised that the department let your patrol go on that call. Most departments I know send patrols that have a ride along out on the freakin most mundane calls out there because of liability even though you sign a freakin waver.

yeah,
the dude i was with just got back from 3 weeks vacation, so they stuck him with the forensics van to do patrol all night, lol. That thing is slow as hell.

Anyways, he was primary on the call, so when we got there, if I didn't help it would have been him vs. 3, so I helped him out. Also, like I said, the brothers spoke spanish and no english.

it was fun :)

Yeah, as a ride along, never be a douche and puss out. If the officer is out numbered or in a world of hurt, get your ass in there! On my first ride along before I became an officer I looked at the guy and asked, "If shit hits the fan, what releases the shot gun?" He looked at me and said, "I like you already."
