Started Growing Again

Oh its that time of yrear to start for early spring gardens in MN, so i decided to try some new things- Coleus (a bushtype plant with green, yellow, amber, and red leaves), chives, cinnamon basil (suppose to put off a cinnamon smell)., tried cactuses lol, and for my babies founbd Catnip seeds at walmart!! also growing lupines and morning glories.
 
I need to try a garden again - but the neighbor kids constantly play with my pots. So. I've no idea. If I did I'd grow some basil, some cilantro and maybe some catnip.
 
We grow roses, azaelias, huge herb garden with a ton of rosemary and wild flowers!

im gonna do a second generation soon, and i have some basil "lettace leaf" that im going to plant with those. it has just really big leaves, and 2 more types of morning glories. I dont have a yard period- i live in an apartment, so i have to be watchful of what i plant, like with the morning glory i they grow 8+ feet a year, so i have to arrange places where they can go, like a bunch are going to my mom-in-laws.

I have a deck, and wall space so alot of the herbs and smaller bushes and flowers are staying with me though lol. Im excited because we use alot of herbs and spices while cooking, so if i can save some money and get real freesh stuff it'll be cool.
 
Just make sure you give the basil lots of light. I've learned that one the hard way and killed one or two plants. I have a few pots sitting in the cement part of our back "yard" - i'm a apartment girl too.

ive never been a huge fan of roses. never had the time to dedicate to one bush. My morning glories i have growing this past summer took alot of time to help. Its going up the side of this overhang thing over a picnic table in my dad in law's backyard

like i said we have a nice little deck, and im going to get a couple of racks to put outside. i too learned my lesson with tea times roses i had. They grew beautifully outside, then it got cold and brought them inside and they died iun 3 weeks. lol, i wont let that happen again. Im going to get a window dedicated to plants
