I don't know much about Uwe Boll (actually nothing...), but why egoistical? what did he do? are his films usually good? or bad/crap?
don't think I've ever seen a film from him...

He usually directs the Game to movie ...movies....and they are always retched. Basically Hollywood looks for the the cheapest scapegoat and he is never one to shy away.

IMDB history of Uwe Boll

He has made himself "famous" for claiming how great a director he is, and how his overblown, box office flops are ALWAYS someone else's fault (i.e. the script sucked, the actors suck, the guy who brought the donuts sucked).
