For those who havent heard, Hall of Famer and Minnesota legand Kirby Puckett died Sunday (also heard monday though) from a stroke. He was a great baseball player for those who arent familure with him, bring the Minnesota Twins to 2 Championships, in 1987 and 1991.
He was forced out of baseball in 1995 after he got Glaucoma and went blind in his right eyes.
as a Minnesotant, I feel this death hit home. I remember going to games when I was a kid just to see Kirby lol. He was always smiling and had a love for the game that many do not have now.
He said he was very proud of having worn one teams uniform for his entire career.
Puckett was also the second-youngest person to die already a member of the Hall of Fame, Hall spokesman Jeff Idelson said. Only Lou Gehrig, at 37, was younger.
RIP Kurby.
