Okay I looked more realistic, and it's still over $2k.

And as for the first one - I ask for a lot because my machines last a long time. I'm not buying a PC every other year - but every few years. The better you buy when you buy, the longer your PC will "most likely" last you. My PC was fairly decent at the time I bought it - and now I can't run games like Oblivion. I have to upgrade my graphics card for the second time since I've gotten this system. Oh well, V's getting the next upgrade in any case.

True, my mac is still more powerful than my PCs and is older. It cost 5k :P But it is strictly for work. I put 1 Gig more ram when the new CS arrived. 8 Ghtz, 3 Gram, 2 HDs 160, one external HD 80... It's for heavy graphics, that way I dont need to use CDs or DVDs, I just carry it around. it basically pay it self with some freelance jobs I did back then. I wish I still did freelance, that way I would have more money to spend on a new puter :P

8ghz????

Yep, it was one of the first G5s in the market with an 8ghz processor. No PC has that with a single processor, maybe a dual one.

Alienware FTW....and all who say otherwise, they just don't have one :P

Everyone always comes at me saying "pffft I can build a better one for half the price" well thats great. My Alienware came out of the box onto my desktop eating up games faster than I could feed it......and it still devours every app I toss at it. It's my second alienware I've had in 5 yrs and they were worth every damn penny. Neither of the 2 I bought were over $1,800 bucks. You can strip them down quite signifcantly to the core unit and still get a monster gaming machine out of it.
