No matter how hard you try, you can't stop us now
No matter how hard you try, you can't stop us now

We're the renegades of this atomic age
This atomic age of renegades
Renegades of this atomic age
This atomic age of renegades

Since the Prehistoric ages and the days of ancient Greece
Right down through the Middle Ages
Planet earth kept going through changes
And then no renaissance came, and times continued to change
Nothing stayed the same, but there were always renegades
Like Chief Sitting Bull, Tom Paine
Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcom X
They were renegades of their time and age
So many renegades

We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk

From a different solar system many many galaxies away
We are the force of another creation
A new musical revelation
And we're on this musical mission to help the others listen
And groove from land to land singin' electronic chants like
Zulu nation
Revelations
Destroy our nations
Destroy our nations
Destroy our nations
Destroy our nations
Destroy our nations
Destroy our nations

Now renegades are the people with their own philosophies
They change the course of history
Everyday people like you and me
We're the renegades we're the people
With our own philosophies
We change the course of history
Everyday people like you and me
C'mon
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk

Poppin', sockin', rockin' puttin' a side of hip-hop
Because where we're goin' there ain't no stoppin'
Poppin', sockin', puttin' a side of hip-hop
Because where we're goin' there ain't no stoppin'
Poppin', sockin', rockin' puttin' a side of hip-hop
'Cause we're poppin', sockin', rockin' puttin' a side of hip-hop
Poppin', sockin', rockin' puttin' a side of hip-hop

We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk
We're the renegades of funk

We're teachers of the funk
And not of empty popping
We're blessed with the force and the sight of electronics
With the bass, and the treble the horns and our vocals
'Cause everytime I pop into the beat we get fresh

There was a time when our music
Was something called the Bay Street beat
People would gather from all around
To get down to the big sound
You had to be a renegade in those days
To take a man to the dance floor

Say jam sucker
Say jam sucker
Say groove sucker
Say groove sucker
Say dance sucker
Say dance sucker
Now move sucker
Now move sucker
[x2]

We're the renegades of funk

This is cute. I am banned from their site as well as the reincarnateted RATM (their name is on the tip of my tounge). For a band to promote civil liberties and politically correctness, if you do not agree with their views, you are banned. Hipocracy at it's best. I guess this is what you can expect from a bunch of "lackies" that put a tyrant like Che Guevera on a T-shirt. Che Guevera said one thing that will be remember before his execution... "Your are just killing a man..." Bottom line... He was executed. Also, a band that fights for political correctness. I personally am waiting for lawyers to rise up against handicapped people becasue they are given their own parking spots discriminating from those who can walk. Who knows? RATM, or its reminance will start this fight... lol Notice it is the groups that are "for the people," who horde their money and keep it to themselves as opposed to giving to those in need? It is almost like gripping about the need for the Katrina victims. They live in homes with as muh as 5 acres of land and homes that have about 17 bed rooms and 10 and a half bathrooms. I do not see any of the Hollywood socialites that complained about the governments response to New Orleans volunteer to have victims at their homes, nor do they give a crap about Biloxi Mississippi that was pretty much wiped off of the map. I digress...

Those idiots may not be GWB, but none the less, he is your President. I am blessed with knowing that anything that comes from a politician is a LIE. Anyone with an ounce of intellect would know that. Also, anyone who researches the issues THEMSELVES would know. The only truth in politics is opinion or a fat bank roll to bribe their congressman. These people are called LOBBYISTS. Groups such as Peta, ACLU, The Rainbow Coalition, AARP, etc. ALL are special interests groups. Hell, someone like Micheal Moore is involved one way or another with special intrest groups. Let's face facts, shall we? The ultimate form of dicrimination in the country is not of race or gender, BUT it is class. For those who are like me "working stiffs," I am looked down upon by someone who is making over 500,000 a year. The moral is, if you can't fatten your politicians pocket or your political party's bank account, you really have a say in crap. You, no matter how dire or how desperate the situation, they will not give a damn because in their eyes, you are insignificant. That my friend is a FACT.

Fixed :D

I don't think they'll go back, Smedley seemed pretty convinced that sandbox universes don't work, atleast for now. The "general public" is just not there yet. Until then, we're looking at MMOs with levels, treadmills, and possibly elves.

You know, this "sandbox universe doesn't work" stuff is a bunch of bullshit. The only reason SOE calls SWG a sandbox universe is because they were too f'n lazy to implement actual content.

I'm playing GTA: San Andreas right now, and that game has so much more content than SWG it's not even funny. There's so much to do in that game it's almost overwhelming. Contrast that with SWG, which ever since its inception 2.5 years ago, has not had anything to do. They never gave it a direction, and that to me is the biggest problem and the biggest reason I'm quitting, not the NGE.

They could have done so much with this game:
Quests from Jabba's and the Imperial (& presumably the rebel) themepark were awful and all on the same planet, go 1200m and kill this guy, come back to get next quest. How about a quest where there are decisions to be made? Look at KotoR, which has quests with multiple possible outcomes.

The game's tagline is "Empire at War" and yet they never gave the GCW anything but a passing thought. In fact most of their actions towards the GCW were to make way for people to not participate, rather than giving people incentives to participate.

Space had so many opportunities it's almost endless. How about player-owned capital ships? How about mixing the ground and space by having ground bases be unattackable until you destroy a shield generator satellite in space, which would alert the owner of the base and everyone he lists of the attack?

I think some at SOE got the picture and got it right with the starting area, which is pretty cool. Unfortunately it took them 2.5 years to figure out, and rather than working on similar content they now have to keep fiddling around with yet another entire combat revision.
