What kind of surgery did you have, Luke? Arthroscopic or open? Did you take it like a man and watch the surgery while they were performing it or did you take general anaesthesia? :)

I've had 3 arthroscopes myself, and 2 of them were general, but the last one I watched. I don't think I'll ever watch one again as it is just not a good feeling having a needle poking around in your spine *shudder*.

yerk! It is weird, I worked in the vet-med world for almost 6 years and had my hands inside many animal abdomens, given many injections, drawn blood, intubated watched serious open heart surgery on dogs and a ton of other things far to gross to write about but I can't watch a doctor giving me a needle or taking blood. Very weird.

Reek, aside from the gross needle in teh spine thing, was the surgery interesting to watch?

i knew this one fool in the military who chose to have the type of drugs where you stay awake while he had his wisdom teeth (all 4) removed.

He said it was so horrable he wouldn't wish that on any of his enemies.

well you know.... technically....this statement is true...and for the delicately minded we ( vet techs) wear gloves. The most interesting experience was a cow's butt. I could tell you how to make a cow pee on demand but that would start no end of grossness. :)
