Just make sure that the new processor is the same type of socket as your motherboard... Otherwise it'd be like trying to plug in a AA battery into something requiring a 9 volt.I'm thinking about changing my processor, when I do change it do I need to reinstall windows at all? I was under the impression that windows installed specfically to your computers components, but I'm not really that sure. Can anyone help?

It's always a good idea to do a clean install whenever you change your compy's innards.
Processor, MB, even your graphics card.
