Does anyone think that screaming ruins metal/rock?

gets on my fuckin tits when i hear a great guitar intro and some really talented people playing and the singer opens his mouth and its like ugh ruined!!
 
I'm kind of shocked by your use of language. LOL.

But yeah, I hate music that's screaming. Pointless.
 
Guess that ruins death metal for TIV then :blink: SLAYER RULES! :blink: Oh wow where did that come from.....too much hair spray in the 80's I guess :(
 
It depends on what the music is like...

Try Queensr?che... he doesn't 'scream' scream, but he gets up there, and their music is kick ass...

I was always a fan of Operation Mindcrime If you listen to the whole CD it could make for a good rock opera production like Tommy, Quadrophenia or The Wall

Slayer definatly isn't screaming by todays standards. Bands like Shadows Fall and CHildren of Bodom are what I think he's refering to if he even knows who that is. But what I beleive he means is like when you cant even understand them and they are basically just grunting into a microphone. That doesnt bother me when its mixed with actually singing but when a band just screams into a mic the whole time its retarded.

It's actually funny, because I hated Queensryche at first, of course I never listened to them at that point either.

All I know is I hated them because whenever I was looking for Quiet Riot tapes I'd have to sort through all the Queensryche tapes to find them.
