Comcast Price Gouges

I've had my cable way before comcast, way before AT&T. Back when it was TCI. TCI was the shit. I was paying like $25 a month for all the channels i have now. We never have changed our plan. Then it became AT&T, and price went up $10. Then Comcast came and jacked it up another $10.

AT&T left our area entirely a few years back when it sold off its mini-companies. AT&T Broadband became comcast. AT&T phone became SBC. Now SBC and AT&T have merged, so AT&T is back in the game. I have no problem with AT&T or SBC when it comes to phone service (both cellular an landline). Yes, my plan with Cingular via SBC is $10 more than T-Mobile, but i get $5 off a month from the bill since it is bundled with my landline phone service. I just hope now that SBC an AT&T have merged, DSL will be available in my area.

Scally, since you're in the UK, why don't you just get a free Astra sattelite? You get all the major world channels (except north american) on there anyway. You even get 3 porn preview channels (SexySat TV for example).

As far as sattelite TV, I'd get it but Chicago weather in the winter can get pretty nasty. I won't be happy if I'm trying to watch the bears win the super bowl and my feed getting all pixelated and disconnected cause it is snowing outside. My cousin, who is a PCB engineer (he's the kind of guy that makes all sorts of electronic appliances operate, from remote controls to SCUD missles for the military) has found a way to get ALL channels DirectTV offers including the international and bonus channels (so over 1000 channels) free and without any way of tracing it or disconnecting it. No cards or chips required. All you need is to connect your box to your computer whenever the signal code changes. He has it in his home and has taken our box to make it work with that too (we were getting all the foreign channels free till DirecTV started changing codes every 3 seconds).

Direct TV -- I pay 50 bucks a month have over 200 channels 5 showtimes, 3 starz and a bunch of other channels.

I pay 30 for my cable internet and use a cell phone instead of a lan line. for 29 bucks 2500 minuts free weekends etc.
