In canada I would reccomend the east Coast, Nova Scotia PEI or newfoundland. There are some stunning historical B&Bs in these provinces and the people are nice.
Halifax ( capitol city of NS) is a really beautiful sea port town with a hell of a lot to offer. If you are into quiet then southern shore, or the Annapolis valley is also amazing. Summer the weather is usually nice.
Newfoundland is a treasure with all sorts of cool things but even in summer the weather can be interesting. I would reccomend St. John's or Trinity. I know some people who run a really awesome B&B so let me know if you even think about these places and I'll get you email/URLs.
If you decide on europe some place... southern italy is nice, Switzerland is also nice and in the summer it's hot on the south side of the mountains. Language oddly enough is not a big issue in the larger cities, most people speak some english.
Hawaii just sounds idylic at any time of the year...
There are some gorgeous places in Germany, and we spent time in Prague after our wedding, also an adventure, very beautiful and very easy to get around.
The world is full of stunning places to go....
