I watch football, for the sport. The entertainemnt of football for me is the best thing. We dont need fights to make the sport interesting and entertaining.

Obviously you don't need contact either.

Yeah I know T', just picking on you.

As for the hockey. Again, it comes down to number of people who care about the sport. According to ESPN's national poll numbers, when NHL was on strike only about 25-30% of ESPN fans cared if it would come back. Now, that is probably a good sample size estimation of the number of Americans who watch/care about hockey (and considering it was ESPN it was 25-30% of SPORT fans). Anyways, if you want to rag on US sports, look at the basketball situation. US finished 6th in b-ball in '04 Olympics....now that was embrassing. However, US is taking the national team seriously this time, so expect them to most likely win it this year.

Up here its much different for hockey...our stadiums are all sold out whereas in the States they are giving away hockey tickets...the sad part is financially its all about the States...we might have record profits in Canada, but because it isnt the same in the US, the NHL ends up losing money.

You don't have record profits though. That's why Canadian teams move to the US.

But yeah most people in the US couldn't give a rat's ass about hockey. Except here in Detroit of course! :D Hockeytown rules! Go wings!

?? I am not talking record profits throughout the history of the NHL, I am talking record profits this year since hockey came back. Our stadiums are packed, its impossible to get tickets, we have two cities talking about buying hockey teams (they sold theirs to begin with) but despite how well hockey is doing up here the NHL is losing money as a whole because it is not as popular in the States.

im sorry but unless its a major tournament like euro/world cup i cant watch anything other than highlights in any sport. I just get bored.

btw totenham > arsenal kkthnxbai!!
