Any other fans on Wanderhomies of the best band EVAR?

If so, and if you haven't heard the 2 1/2 tracks that were leaked this week off the new Chinese Democracy album, lmk, I'll hook you up.

The stuff is pretty promising, and along with songs we've already heard like Madagascar and the Blues and Chinese Democracy, the album looks like its going to be real fucking good.

I was a huge fan back in the day, but have no idea what's going on with them and their new lineup. Any links you can share?

Sure man.

You may know that Axl had reformed a new G'n'R and toured in 2002.
It was aborted when Axl no showed twice during the tour the first stop in Vancouver, then later in Philly.

Since then Buckethead has left the band, but rumors are flying that Slash and Axl are jamming again, and that Slah may redub the leads for the Chinese Democracy Album.

Axl surfaced a while ago at a Korn CD launch party, and promised fans they'd hear music from the long promised Chinese Democracy Album.
(the 2002 tour was meant to be a run up to a cd launch, and yet the album has still never surfaced.)

Guns fans were promised by Axl (when interviewed at the Korn CD party) thatthey would hear music this year.

This week, 2 1/2 tracks were leaked from the new album...

I.R.S is a song that was first leaked back in 03, but only a clip of it was heard then.
The full song can now be found here:

A second song, T.W.A.T (The was a time) was leaked and can be found here:
http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1Z77DAN...R31H9LMS9YLPWWW

A clip of a new song called better can be found here:
http://s61.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3F5R784...652Q4OVXCPEM97H

Of the three, Better is fucking incredible, IMHO, the beginning is quite strange, but at the :30 mark it starts kicking serious ass.

I.R.S. is good, but the sound quality of this demo is a little poor, but the song sounds pretty good.

TWAT...well, I'm not a fan yet of that one, may grow on me, and it IS only a demo, so we'll see.

You should also look for the songs Madagascar, the Blues, and Chinese Democracy, which are all also songs on the upcoming album and are very good (these three are available on most P2P networks, as they've played them live numerous times).

Thats about the size of it.

LMK what you think of the new stuff.

OMG They are my favorite band eva!

I was going to go to their concert when they were supposed to come down to Tampa in '02, but they cancelled.

It's good to see they finally will have a new album

I actually wen tdown to Toronto to catch em in '02.
Unbelievable show.
They were like 45 mins late coming on stage, and I thought they were gonna no show....
They don't have the best track record in Canada...the infamour Montreal riots w/ G'n'R and Metallica and then G'n'R no showing in Vancouver to kick off the 02 tour...but eventually theu did come out, and it was kick ass.

Would've loved to have seen the original band live, but that was definately an epic show.

What is Axl's deal with no-showing and walking off stage anyway? Hot head or just uber jackass?

So I listened to what I could find and your tracks.
Found some on this site http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/audio.htm (there is also an old live performance of Rocket Queen)

Crash Diet - not bad
Better - Not that bad either
I.R.S. - best song I heard
Madagascar (live) - reminds me of some of their more epic songs like Estranged or November Rain
There Was A Time - again, not that bad
The Blues(live) - I enjoyed this too

None of it really blew my doors off, but if what you say is true and Slash is going to get in on the cd and redo the songs, then who knows. Slash leaving the band is what really made me stop caring about them.

You know man, its just part of the whole mystique and aura of G'n'R.
These guys were legitimate bad boys of rock...is it cool to stiff your customers by no showing, fuck no, but it gained them even more notoriety and attention.

Axl is a loose cannon, of that theres no question, he is volatile beyond belief, and frankly if he gets fed up with touring, and doesn't feel like showing, he'll just bail.

Ever wonder how it is Axl has all the rights to the G'n'R stuff, and can make a completely new band under the old name?

During the Use Your Illusion Tour in '92 G'n'R was playing in Europe and before a show Axl put a gub to all the band members heads and said sign this shit giving me the rights to all of this or I dont go onstage, and they did it.
He was like that...he'll never win man of the year awards or anything like that, its juts part of who he is.

Frankly a lot of people with a certain element of genius (which IMHO he has, musically speaking) are a little of center other ways, eccentric.

Axl is no different.

re: Slash - for now its rumors, I hope to hell its true.
I like Velvet Revolver alot (Slashs current band with the other ex-Gunners and Scott Weiland) and I like the new G'n'R....but Axl and Slash together again would just be the pinnacle.

Glad you likes the stuff you've heard so far, I just can't get enough of Better...my fave so far by a longshot...followed by madagascar, the Blues, and IRS.

I don't care if Axl has the naming rights, its not really G'n'R unless they're both there. Kinda like Van Halen w/o Roth. Call it what you want, its still a counterfeit. I hope Slash comes back, that would be awesome, was not fond of Buckethead.
