Actually I thought it was deemed to poisonous for regular consumption?

I don't think you can even order it in the states. Could be wrong of course.

I am in the states it is illegal to purchase inside the states -- but if you purchase it oversease (internet) it is legal to own and consume.

as for lethal it is a poison but international laws have regulated how much thorogin (spelling) but basically wormwood. it is regulated to 10ml in a bottle -- that is not a lethal amount as long as you dont consume 10plus bottles in a sitting.

the distilling process also takes out 99% of the poisong and jsut leaves you with a mild form of a halucinagen.

it is ilegal in the US, but alot is, and you can still order alot. If you go to that site, ill bet alot that somewhere it says like "it is ilegal to ship this product to the US", but they still will, cause you just took responsibility. just like "special seeds"

I should've shipped this stuff to you regularly when you played, so i could tell you in game that i had 50 identical krayt armor plates instead of 9

I do drink it from time to time, it's pretty good.
Tastewise, I prefer Hill's Absinth, but Absinth King of Spirits is good too, but too bitter for me to drink much of. There is also a variant, Absinthe King of Spirits GOLD, which has 100mg/l of thujon, but it's only available on mailorder, and they are all illegal in Norway, since they are stronger then 60%, and therefore are considered narcotics. :(
From what I read 10mg/liter of thujon (the neurotoxin in wormwood that gives absinth its sting) is legal in the European Union.
If you want to try this magnificent drink, try Prague. They have great beer, the city is safe, and you can get strong drinks like Absinth, and Cannabis Vodka. Not to mention, the city is magnificent.

I've cut down on Absinth after I had a really bad experience last year. Let's just say that I believe in hallucinations from Absinth after that one. But compared to the drink of the late 1800's, most of todays Absinthe is tame. You'll die of alcohol poisioning long before you get the amount of thujon that they got.

I think it's a great drink at parties, especially if you melt some sugar and drink it quickly. Ahhh... The good memories. :)

Here's some interesting reading about it.

You say "The sugarcube mixture saves the day. "You say "the green cloudy waters will take you away. But when dawn floods in with the day, the journey I imagined brought me right back here to swing from these necktie remedies, necktie remedies

And according to that link, it is illegal to import into the U.S.
There is a derivative made in the U.S. that is legal though,
"A faux-absinthe liqueur called Absente, made with southern wormwood (Artemisia abrotanum) instead of regular wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), is sold legally in the United States. However, the FDA prohibition extends to all Artemisia species, including even, in theory, Artemisia dracunculus, tarragon. However, Absente is sold in US retail liquor stores because the export version made for the United States does not contain wormwood."
