Pft! Regular people have a work week of 40 hours (unless working overtime). In Sweden you work 45 hours each week if a teacher. In total we get a little less time off of work then others when you sum it up, but we get the time off at the best times ^_^ So I wouldnt trade it for the world, we get: summer 7-8 weeks, Xmas 2 weeks, Easter 1 week, Sportsweek 1 week and then a few days here and there like now. We get them at the same time as the kids, which means when you have kids, you can spend time with them! :D

And as for what I'm doing, I'm typing this :p

Most of the US works about 50-60 hour workweek Zana. Once you become "Exempt" you don't get paid for overtime. Instead of following the TRUE meaning of what an exempt employee means, companies work people to the bone to get every penny out of them. So if you're getting say 60k a year, and are exempt, you aren't working the normal 2080 to get that 60k. Most likely you're really getting paid for 3120 hours or $19.23 an hour - which is less than I make in my non-exempt position - and I get paid fro my overtime.

Oh, I was talking Sweden here Tiv :)

But that blows

But even so, I know it's easier to get ahead in the States if you have a good education then it is in Sweden. In Sweden we got a lot of people with good education, and they get paid "avarage" salleries (or are unemployed)...the mid class is huge here. And there isnt a lot of room to advance and get "rich"or earn a little more. You have a bigger chance of that over there in the states. Id get about 50 - 100% more each month working in the States... ...but then there are a lot of other privilages here in Sweden that makes you safer so...*shrug*

And to what Im doing...hmm...listening to Enya and eating sugar- and weat free chocolate
