Who Controls the Country (USA)?

Right now the Judicial branch of Government is in firm control. They jsut make thier owns laws as they see fit, sometimes reffering to foreign law (Justice Kennedy specifically) to make judgements that exceed thier constitutional power. Congress should be in control and hopefully people will wake up on Nov 7th and realize that the left is a horrid idea for this country and vote solid for the right so that we can trump what leftists are left in there and get this country back to following the Constitution.
Seems to be controled a little by all those mentioned with way to much of a corrupting influence.
I would have to say the Judicial branch does seem to be a little to powerful right now and has been overstepping there intended limits for years in my opinion.
The judges are far from bieng above the corruptiont hat has affected politican at all levels of government and the elements of society that cause the corruption have found there ways of gettng want they want through the judiciary when they cant get the candidates or votes they need in the offices they want.
One could easily write a book on this (any many have) but I dont want to go on all day and annoy everyone with my ranting.

On Stav, cahnuuk, and hakan's replies... no offense guys, and correct me if I am wrong, but none of you live here. Stav's in Greece, Cahnuuk in Canada, and Hakan in Turkey. Frankly, I don't think you can have as accurate a vision unless you live here.
Congress controls the country. This has been the largest spending congress ever, no one, not even the Supreme Court has stopped them. Bush has veto'ed just one spending bill his entire term. It's the politicians that want to leave the borders open. The dems because they love the idea of millions of illegal mexican votes, the reps because their construction company doners need/want the cheap labor. Who should be in control? Those who vote, because they are the only ones (of the people) who actively take part in the direction of the country. And in a way they are, since they elect the Congress.

Congress is comprised of representatives for smaller chunks of the country who, for the most part, make their votes based upon the feedback and general concensus they receive from the politically active persons in their region. This is the way it should be, and mainly is. If the people were given ballots to vote on every issue that came up in congress for vote on a daily basis they would just complain that they're being asked for too much or at least feel overwhelmed by the amount of decision making they were asked to participate in especially on matters that are completely irrelevant to many groups of people.

When it comes to who controles the country, I went with "other". When it really comes down to it, it's the churche that rules the country imo. They have spread their belives for 2000 years...and that in most cases, is how most americans think...like the church, like a christian.
I think its the people who should decide, but they need to be lead. I dont think that religion *should* be the foundation for it, but I realize that that would be almost impossible, in any country with such strong believes. And I admit, the ten commandments are good to live by

Its only naive to claim in a country like US, people control the country. I dont need to live in US to see this, I can probably judge much better than someone living in the country as its almost always true that someone whos looking from outside can observe better.
But I also have to say that still atleast upto this administration people of US kept their rulers in check to an extent and being the realist, its something which should be praised, its not an easy task with so big amount of money and power involved.
US in my eyes still have the potential to further the freedom and peace in the world and keep balancing the demands of corporations, but like I said it would be extremely naive to ignore the power of colossal corporations. Its an entirely other question, what would happen if an other country wielded the same power US has alone in the world, thats why I have hope.
