I don't see the problem. It's not about people wearing baggy pants, it's just that I shouldn't have to see someone's underwear while I'm walking down the street.

I can understand a SCHOOL enforcing a dress code but an entire city? Thats just stupid.

Nice to see our tax dollars at work when it comes to deciding what people can or can't wear... pathetic.

Sorry but I don't need my government telling me how I should dress now...

And what's so bad with seeing someones underwear? lol
It's like saying that it's illegal to show the ass crack, yet tons of people shows it bending over (I think that's worse btw). I find it so double morally, but then again, that's US in a nutshell... (No offense towards anyone, it's the government I'm pissed at ;) )

*Illegal being naked - being naked is natural
*Illegal to let students massage each other - body contact is a must for human beings, it's good and important for people, they need it and it's important to teach them the value of it and that it's natural (and it's nothing sexual about it). But if you do it in the US you get kicked as a teacher.
*Illegal to show underpants - omg, one might see that they are blue or made out of lace! How horrible!
*Illegal to show breasts and naked bodies on TV/movies - everyone has it, it's beautiful...why illegalize it? And yet you have porn movies/magazines and strip clubs...how ironic isn't that?!

I'm sorry, but I think it's so dumb it ain't even funny...

I agree.
And a thought, the tax dollars might do better helping lets say - homeless people, kids that drop out of school getting into trouble etc etc

lol *shakes her head*
Standing still, yes you could cover it, but if walking around you'd definately see that something was up that guys' pants ;)

And I think that problem shows a whole other problem. Baggy jeans doesn't have anything to do with the real issue here (You can cover things up under a jacket as well, so why not forbid that.....especially in the middle of the winter...;)).
It's parents, the upbringing and the morality in the society that's the real issue.

For example, there as been a debate in Sweden about kids being able to wear 'ear cups' if it gets too noisy in the classroom. Some teachers have actually let the students wear them. The government says that, that is not helping the real issue (the fact that it's noisy), it is in fact avoiding the problem. And I completely agree. If you have an issue, deal with the real source of it. Don't avoid it by putting 'ear cups' on or illegalizing baggy pants.

Sorry, I don't want to see guys walking around with their belt line hanging 10 inches down from their waists.

I hate baggy pants because not only can you see the top of there underwear, but sometimes you can also see crack....... and that is just so
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Ya but the best part is when they fall down and they trip, especially in front of the girls. :p

But yea.. I have to agree on this one but I still don't like the fact that some city council/form of government can tell us what we can or cant wear... I mean, isn't that just unconstitutional?

And people don't like seeing people with dirty clothes, people that dresses like a bum, and some don't like it when others dress in goth and so on....there is no end to it. I find the law stupid, I think people should be able to dress as they wish (Note, I said dress as they wish, so no being naked ;) ). One can just turn the head the other way around if it's that bothering imho. We can't have laws against every little thing. US calls themselves the land of freedom....it just doesn't go well together...

I can't stand it when people have ugly half rotten teeth that they haven't taken care of. Can't we have a law against that? ^_^ *sarcasm off*

I agree, I don't like it either. But I think it's wrong and small-minded to have a law against it. And as I said I agree with Cold, the tax dollars has better use elsewhere...

Sometimes..ok more then sometimes..I really hate the general attitude in america. Everyone says it's freedom but the mojority of people here as are repressed from thier own screwed up morality and double standards it's not even funny.

If I lived in that area, I'd just walk around in ONLY my underwear. If they made THAT illegal then I'd just walk around in swim shorts that looked like underwear.

Well I suppose if you just wear normal pants hanging down like baggy pants it is still allowed?

Alot of laws r really silly!

Well just 'cause you don't want to see something doesn't mean it should be illegal. How screwed up would society become if we suddenly started making laws so nobody ever has to see anything they don't want to?

We already have that kind of... like what Zana said about nudity, and also swear words and stuff. People think it's their right to never be offended. Well go live in a convent then. Otherwise you and your kids are going to see offensive things because we don't live in a fantasy world where everything is agreeable; so you just deal with it and be open-minded or just ignore it...
