Site Slowness: My host is pissed

Apparently you're not the only people pissed about the site running slow. My host is pissed as well:

Also, you can try and optimize your code and database calls. If you feel
you've done everything you can and need to upgrade to a more powerful

The site may be going up and down until I figure out the problems. I'm 90% positive it's this forum because the other two sites that run under this account don't gather many visitiors or use many resources. Some premature diagnosis has given rise to two options:

1. Forum purge. Any posts older than 1 year will be deleted. Your post counts won't be affected.
2. Move to a dedicated server and avoid loosing any threads, posts, etc.

I hate both of those solutions, but I'll see what I can do. I gotta go through and see what's causing the massive jump in resource usage. After all, it could very well be a salty ex-Wanderhomie that hates me, you, or us that is using some sneaky attacks on our site to cause the resource spike. Sit tight until I try to sort things out.
