Parents Freaking

Sometimes I really don't like it when parents freak out. I mention to my mom that I'm back on some anti-depressents and she freaks out. She knows I've had problems since I was a kid - why would it shock her? She's probably just scared - but parents sometimes over-react.

mine are the opposite... I have an "adopted" mom thats been like my mom since I was a kid. She came over one day I was playing SWG all upset that I haven't been to church lately. "OMG, Sarra, are you depressed..? I never see you in church anymore! Maybe you need anti-depressants" How do you explain that you missed church because you are busy trying to loot an engine component?

Chances are if I walk into a church, I would catch on fire the second I step across the threshold.

i have a fairly open relationship with my parents, and I feel I could tell them most anything with out them freaking out at me.
 
See here I thought you were gonna talk about the thought of your parents having sex, butt neked, bumping uglies and getting that whole image thing in your head.

Mine are usually pretty cool. I've been really up and down lately though so I think that's why she's worried more than usual.

my family...they / we are just really dysfunctional
well my mum emails... but my brother and sister...they never phone... didn't want to come to my wedding ( 5 years ago ) and generally we all just sort of ignore each other unless I call or reach out or what ever ... we are the big ignore each other family... never hear from them and the only person who actively tries to contact me is the one person I do not ever wish to speak to ever ever ever again.

You guys on the other hand are awefuckingsome!
my extended family.

and wulf knows better than to ignore me. Hell hath no wrath like a merlyn ignored.
 
I get along pretty well with my folks, though my mom does baby me a bit to much.

Iv allways gotten along well with other peoples parents though....dont know why that is.
 
Ah. I didn't go near my brothers and sisters for a reason.

Mom's son: Basically cool guy.
Mom's daughter: Snob.
Dad's son: r@pist.
Dad's 1st Daughter: Abuses her children and is a social worker.
Dad's 2nd Daughter: I used to adore her - never talks to me.

Last time I talked to my dad's kids was when My 2nd Grampa died. Like 5 years ago.
