did have a cat yawn at me while I was having sex... I laughed so hard I fell off the bed and hit my head on the dresser. But, no my balls are fine! And tho virtual... bigger than yours! haha

I'm not getting a puppy anymore.Apparently they all found homes really fast because the person that found them worked at a bid company and she sent out a company e-mail or something like that. I want a puppy damn it! :'(
So go to your local pound and get one. Research the different types of dogs, and think of one that would fit you best. Just remember they're a LOT of work. Puppies are the worst because you have to work hard at house training them and stuff. But it's quite fun if you have the time!

And, you'll be up all night. Hope you like piddle on your floor. But, ya go to the pound. Just be careful, they never know what the mixes are. It might say lab mix and it will end up growing into a chihuahua. lol The pound puppies are usually about $50 or so, then you have to get them fixed within a certain time frame... shots, heartworm meds... etc etc. You'll spend EASY about $700 within the first couple months, between that stuff and supplies.

I highly recommend the ARL in Boston. Great place, always lots of animals that need homes. And, you don't have to get a puppy/kitty, you can get an "adult" dog (read 1 year old), they need homes too. People always go after the puppies, leaving anything older to rot.
P.S. WW worked at the ARL for a while, to get her start. Excellent people there.

I don't think I'll have the money anymore I have a car to take care of now, lol. It's a 1997 Ford Escort with 140k miles however the engine and transmission are in excellent condition, it just needs new brake pads and rotors which would run me like 180 dollars. Now I need to get my permit lol.

Ive got a Westie (West Highland Terrier) that ive had since it was a tiny pup, they are only small dogs so you cant really count on it eating a burglar or anything lol. But she is really fun, always jumps on me when i come home like ive been gone for years and small dogs are a lot easier to maintain.

You definitely don't want a puppy right now, Curse. Once you're out of school in a couple years your life will change and you won't have time for the dog. Wait until you've got a few years of stability.

How fun! 
I've had a few dogs (rottweiler, german, golden etc), so I'll tell you some of what I've experienced.
Fist off, think of how you want the dog to be and what it's allowed to do and not to do. Always be consequent even tho the puppy eyes are cute...they feel so much better when you are consequent, it's just us humans who feel bad and sorry for them
And remember, if you let them do something once, its so much harder to have them not do it after that...
Be firm but fair, have clear rules on what you want, and be loving
Most of all, it's a pet, not a human being - lots of people confuses that for some reason...
It's important that you are the pack leader, and small things can make you that easily, for ex:
-Always sit before they get to eat, look into your eyes, you tell he/she 'when'.
-Sit when you put on the leash, look into your eyes and say when he/she can go out.
-Never look into the dog's eyes when you play 'drag and pull', that makes you play against the dog (it becomes a competition), you want to play with the dog.
-Labs needs quite a lot of exercise, they tend to get fat. But they love to work with their brain, ie search for things, pick up things, play fetch etc.
That's just some thoughts
