I was reading Overheard in NY for Feb since I missed out on a few when I was sick. And one was about eating deer....

And I thought to myself...you know..I can't eat deer meat because I think of Bambi. But I can eat beef or chicken or pork without being upset about the animals that were killed.

Most people I think eat what they've been eating for so long, we don't stop and think...where did this food come from? What animal died to make my meal?

No I'm not going vegan. Just a weird thought.

I think about it at work every day as I try to convince my vegan coworker to try my mostly meat lunch.

Yeah I think about that sometimes too, it's weird.

But check this out:

If a lion, or wolf eats meat, nobody gives a shit. Same thing for a frog eating a fly. If they really cared we'd just kill all the predators. Of course then there wouldn't be enough population control.

Only difference is the animals are killed by humans/machines/whatever instead of animal predators.
