I need to memorize all the countries!

I am taking AP history and over summer we have to memorize every country and I need help!

any one know any tips or tricks or useful study habits? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hrmm... well a good way my 8th grade teacher did was give us a map and every week we'd have to study a list of countries and were they were located geographicly. He'd tack on more and more every week and eventually we knew a shit load of countries and their location. It was such an easy A.

Anyway that's all I can think of. Good luck with the AP classes dude they are tough shit very demanding.

make a name out of countires first letters, thats how i remember elements in chemistry:

HheLiBeBkNOFneNamgAlSipSCLarKca...well u get the picture..like fenitics, sounds stupid when you say it out.

man thats fucked up!!! DOes anyone know how many countries there is?!?!?!? 193!!! WTF kinda nazi school you go to? bad enough they have summerschool, they make you do that? they be sitting in their office like "yeah there isnt even 50 president, we made them memorize them before kindegarden. I know!! Make them memorize every native dialect to every country in the world."

yeah i just meant like i think id be better able to place countries rather than states (or counties in the UK) as i reckon id be able to "signpost" certain countries which i can remember easier.

"in that one the people wear lederhosen" etc
