cant you just use the newsletter template in MS Word?

I was editor of a school paper when I worked for the public schools. The students used Power Point for it. If you know how to use it, it's easy to move things around in and create pages and text blocks. Not sure I'd recommend it, but when you're in the public schools, you use whatever you can.
