Can anyone recommend a good host for FTP sites?

Hey guys:

I need to setup an FTP site so someone can upload some large files to me.
I'd need something that can handle storage of about 2-5 gigs.
Bandwidth is not a huge issue, cause its likely just to be a onetime transfer.
(Unless anyone here is interested in unreleased Dreamcast games, in which case I'd share)
(Propeller Arena, Half Life and PBA 2001 FYI)

I don't think that there's any free ftp host for such large files. All free file hosting services have limits of about 50MB on file size, such as filelodge, and rapidshare. You will have to either pay for a domain and hosting, or pay for a service that is made for such transfers. The cheapest way is to pay for a service that is made for such transfers. I use streamload to recieve and download all my music. I pay about $5/month a month for 1GB of downloading. People send me the stuff i request and i download. $10 a month gives you 10GB of downloads. You can upload any file type and send it to any user with an account for them to download. Upload space is unlimited.

Or you can register a domain for about $8 a year, and then pay for monthly hosting. http://www.findmyhosting.com is a grea resource for finding cheap and reliable web hosting. You can find some pretty kickass deals, but it will be more expensive monthly, plus the yearly domain fee.

If you can break the files down under 1 gig you can use FileFront (www.filefront.com).

They state, "Files cannot be larger than 1GB or take more than 10 hours to upload."

But they offer unlimited room.

Or if you and the other guy are going to be online at the same time and bandwidth isn't an issue, can't you ftp between machines?

I could probably have the guy break em up using Winrar or something, but the thing is I don't know the guy providing the files real well (which is why a direct connect isn't an option) and I don't wanna make it any more of a hassle for him than it needs to be.

Thanks though.
