Blood Clots...

Curse

Bored to death... maybe...
Umm yeah what are the symptoms for a blood clot because under my right arm it hurts so bad that If it was under my left arm I think I'd be have a heart attack. Hell all I did was get up to pee this morning and tried to lay back down when I felt this sharp pain. /scared... HELP!

couldn't find anything on symtpoms of blood clots in arms, so i'm assuming they don't happen often or at all. but i did find symptoms of blood clots in the legs:

Symptoms occur in the affected leg when a clot obstructs blood flow and causes inflammation. Symptoms may include the following:

* Swelling

* Gradual onset of pain

* Redness

* Warm to touch

* Worsening leg pain when bending the foot

* Leg cramps, especially at night

* Bluish or whitish discoloration of skin

I have no idea what it is the pain is dying down now dunno wtf is up but yeah I think I should go see a doctor I think I scared myself this morning.

Okay.
Go to the doctor. Try a couple of things first and note your reactions.
I've had a blod clot before in my chest and going to the hospital for it is NOT fun.

Can you excersize? (not 30 min hardcore - just walk around the house a bit) When you do, are you excessively out of breath? (more than usual)

I'm fairly sure you're a bit young for blod clots. Generally people who are younger get them from birth control pills. (which I doubt you're on). In fact, the hospital, and my doctor were amazed that *I* had them because of my age.

Most likely it's a pulled muscle (which hurts like a b*tch and can be scary hwen it's in your chest/arm), or an anxiety attack. The latter is also very scary and gets worse as you have time to worry about it.

try taking some Ibuprofen (whatever you normally take) and see if that helps. If it does, most likely it's muscle related.

In any case - call the doctor. better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the advice Tiv. I'll have to remember this incase it happens again. It came from nowhere and all of a sudden left... does someone have a voodoo doll of me? lol

I doubt its a blood clot, your main artery that leads to your heart runs under you left arm. If it were to be plugged up, you'd already be dead. Could've tweaked a nerve though, I do that shit all the time and it hurts like hell.

OUCH. That would hurt too. Depending on if it's hard fat or not. I know someone with a hard fat lump and it bugs 'em once in awhile.

I have a calcium build up in my left forearm and one next to my spine in my lower back. Fuggin annoying is what those are. :angry: I went to the doc to see if they should be removed, well more importantly to make sure they weren't malignant in any way. And he said no, that they're natural and will eventually dicipate. Well 2 1/2 years later they're still there, I hate doctors....

stayed at a Holiday Inn Express?

I've had lower back pain since Christmas. I feel it the most whenever I do my sit-ups. Anybody know if it would just be a normal back strain or something maybe wrong with my spine?

I'm guessing muscles, but it's the first time I've had back pain for so long - of course I only feel it if I move certain ways. My moms says it'll probably get better in a month or two.

This reminds me when someone unlocked my arm from the socket. I most likely passed out, cause I don't remember when my sensei put it back in place. :unsure:

I concur popping an arm out of socket is probably one of the worst things thats ever happened to me. Worst being when I tore my ACL, physical rehabilitation FTW!!! Should hear my knee, everytime I stand up from squatting down or kneeling it sounds like the crackling when you turn your monitor off. :o
