Anyone good with router problems?

Got a question. Got a router and when I hook it up and stay on say this website I can navigate it fine but when I try to open a new window for a different website it acts like it is offline, yet I can still navigate the existing website till I try to change it to another website. Now when I restart my computer it is fine and can surf the web till I get this happening again. I disconnected my router and ran a direct connect and it is working just fine. When I go into the router settings it says WAN error in the status window. Any ideas? settings should be set to default. it is a netgear 614.

Software Driver correct and up to date?

is there a firewall router and if so is it enabled?

is it a class C network setup ie 255.255.255.0?

Is it on Wireless? is so is security configured properly?

Whats your connection type

PPPoA
PPPoE

How many machines are on your network and are you the server?

Do you have configured ips or DHCP enabled?
