And quite frankly nobody cares...or is happy with that. I've never heard so many boo's in my life...at three different sports bars

That's because you live in Chicago, Stav. Jesus, when the Cards come to town, Cub fans at Wrigley quit drinking Bud and switch to Old Style for the day. That's how much we hate them.

it wasn't just us cubs fans. it was the sox fans too. But i guess the Cards deserve a freebie. Choke x amount of times in the Series, get one free :p

You wanna talk about the US not caring:

World Series Game 3 & 4 on prime time television on a broadcast channel: 10.5 rating

Monday Night Football on a cable network: 12.5 rating

Yeah, a regular season game on cable out views the championship of baseball. Kinda sad.

huh huh huh huh huh you said Poo-Holes huh huh huh huh huh

HAHAHAA.

Being an Astros fan, I have said his name many many times. And NEVER have I thought of that. I will now giggle every time I hear his name.

I just have to giggle because I have family in St. Louis who kept being upset thinking they wouldn't make the playoffs. Thankfully I haven't talked to them since this so I don't have to hear their dances of joy.

Yes I'm a Cards fan, have been since birth. Yes I care.

Does the rest of the US care, mostly not. That's because they aren't a New York team, or a Cali team, or a perennial loser turned Disney story.

It surprises me that National League team fans weren't supporting the Cards considering the AL has been owning us and it's embarassing. They won 6 of the last 8 (not including this year) WS and like 9 straight All-Star games.

Please. St. Louis has more sports teams than I have brothers and sisters. People have been more and more into football lately. The only reason people got excited about baseball the past few years is because of Boston getting lucky. Once that happened, everyone remembered they don't really like baseball that much.

*hides*

I am not fortunate enough to be a fan of a good baseball team (Texas). IMO baseball has lost credibility. Until they get the HGH and 'roids out I could give 2 shits.

Being an Astros fan I went into the playoffs wanting the Cardinals to lose. Going into the World Series given how well the Tigers were playing I didn't give the Cards a shot. Then I got to thinking about how bad the NL has been getting raped, and decided it would be okay if the cards won

Well, the main reason a lot of baseball fans started to not care about the Cards is because they got to face an injury decimated Mets team that was exciting to watch, then went on to beat a Tigers team that looked phenomenal throughout the playoffs but then decided to play like utter shit in the WS (I don't mean Cards pitching didn't do it's job, but the unforced errors that cost them runs game after game was terrible to watch). Couple that fact that the Cards eked into the postseason with 83 wins and you had a team that got lucky and hot in the playoffs that nobody wanted there because lots of folks felt that they shouldn't be there.

That's why baseball fans did not watch your beloved Cards...now most Americans didn't watch it because football (both kinds) > baseball

We almost took the Cards out of the playoff race. Would have been nice, but going from 8 games back to 2 in a week isn't bad at all.

Plus, I was there for the last game in the sweep vs. the Cards in Houston. Felt like a playoff game, everyone was pumped, beautiful weather, tons of fun. So I got a little tad bit of playoff style baseball this year, not too shabby.
