Finally a competitor for WoW?

meh is all I have to say, its a good series but I cant see it becoming an mmo

I've read all of the interviews, and judging from that it sounds like the skills could be setup simillar to CU SWG. They mention skill trees, and levels (up to 50).

There's little information, but nothing negative.

One thing I liked was the appearance of the SGW devs to really embrace pvp. I've seen a few statements (one in particular) that said there would be certain content in the game you would never experience if you didn't opt-in for pvp.

The one bad thing concerning SGW, if that in the early interview they really emphasized the fact that whatever happens in the game would be considered canon and would be reflected in the actual series. But now the series is cancelled and that seems to be out the window.

Looks like someone trying to make a pre-cu clone...
[/b]

first people want pre-cu, then when someone steps up and creates something like it, they buck it... or am I misunderstanding?
for having so many swg players, and even some of the devs players of swg, something must be good.

I was just stating my impression, not passing judgement either way...

Actually, if someone were to make an exact pre-cu clone with different graphics (to avoid legality from LA) it'd be successful. For a new gaming company it'd be a hugely successful first game. I'd guesstimate a playerbase of 100,000 wouldn't be too far out of reach.

Pfft at SGW...

Divergence
[/b]

A completely open pvp system, kept in check only by a faction-based records system. Our PvF system allows any character, at any time to forcibly attack any other player, npc, or object at their discretion. In doing so however, just as in real life, there are consequences. Should a player attack and kill another player in plain sight for instance, he or she would face a harsh faction hit with several other factions. First his or her own faction, depending on it?s out view on harming other players, then their factions opinion on attacking the other persons primary faction, and the list cascades down the line to the most rudimentary ?trickle down?. The idea is to give the player the largest amount of personal freedom possible, while reminding them that there are consequences.

lol i can just see myrdyr playing this game now :p
